From the moment my mother took me to the grand old Alabama Theatre in downtown Birmingham to watch Lady & The Tramp, movies have been a profound part of my life. Each film has marked significant moments, both joyous and challenging, shaping my experiences and offering me comfort, inspiration, and understanding. The magic of movies has always been a source of emotional connection, education, and hope.

At SimplyFilm Productions, I am driven by a passion to craft films that resonate deeply and reflect the diverse stories of the South. Our mission is to illuminate tales of joy, inspiration, achievement, and love, celebrating the unique narratives that define us. By sharing these stories, we aim to touch hearts, spark conversations, and enrich lives, just as movies have done for me.

My Background

Bio

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, I live with my husband, Steve, and our 22-year-old cat, Maddie, and Bett, our miniature dachshund. I enjoy yoga, meditating, and crafting jewelry from fine silver clay.

Work Experience

I worked in banking, healthcare, publishing, higher education, and nonprofit development and fundraising for the past 40 years. Making movies is my second career.

Conceptualizing

I was part of a small team that researched and developed the concept for Real Simple Magazine, which became one of Time Inc’s most successful product launches ever.

Creative Writing

I have been working on screenplays and a memoir for the past 15 years.
